There are quite a number of free tutorials, for anything, including Photoshop. If you have the software, and think you can do something with that, this might be a post that can change your life. But why talking only about Photoshop? Simply said, it's easy to learn and proceed. And there are lots of uses by learning this one software. Anyone who have used Photoshop at least once, is just one step behind starting as a freelancer. So why not polish up your Photoshop when you have the chance!

2. Get Inspired

 

Having a sound knowledge doesn't mean you can win the world of designers as a freelancer. There is a big crowd already engaged in designing who have gathered experience over a long time. To get into the race with all these people, you need to have an idea on which level they are. In most cases the already-designing-crowd knows something than you. Why not take a look at their designed and get inspired? It'll help you to understand where you are in the world of designing, and will let you think of what you are capable of doing..

And that's it! simple.. Now you have an idea on what the designers' world looks like. Keeping all those designs on your mind will help you a lot. But don't ever let them ruin your creativity. Use them wisely. And now it's the time for you to move up to the next level.

3. Get started to work!

 

Yeah, It's that easy. Now you have some knowledge, and you are competent enough to start. You will learn while you work and gather experience.. When you work and gather experience, earning money becomes much easier. You improve even without your knowledge. All you need to do is to use your skills. You use your skills to easily earn some money.

Before you click a link below, you should keep this in mind. Simply signing-up to one of these sites will not do anything good for you. You have to maintain a good profile. Create a portfolio of some work, you are capable of doing. Your profile should attract clients! And don't think from the first day you'll be able to engage in work. For me it took about a week to find the first job. Afterwards there will be a lot of contracts, when you finish the jobs and receive a good feedback. Don't ever give up at the start. The start is the only hard phase in your career as a freelancer. (At least think that way)

You'll be amazed to know how much you can earn with Photoshop itself. There's quite a lot of competitions with great prizes, worth your skills, and I can't say they are easy to win. You get to compete with an expert crowd of designers. You improve with them.

Once you've started you may learn to work with other designing software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects.. which are quite helpful for anyone as a designer. Spare a little time to learn something new and you'll earn multiple times than you've spent on learning.
